The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the executive team, the Finance and Strategy Analyst will be instrumental in driving analysis to help inform strategy at The Healing Company.

The ideal candidate for this role will have passion for and conviction in our vision: to bring integrated healing to the world—a detail-oriented, analytical and strategic thinker with a knack for financial modeling, interpreting data and translating insights into actionable initiatives to inform strategy and drive performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support M&A, Finance, Operations, and Marketing analysis, owning analytics broadly with opportunity to specialize as we grow our portfolio

  • Partner with our data & technology partners to define data architecture and reporting approach for The Healing Company and each of our portfolio companies

  • Develop heart of business performance reporting for our D2C portfolio companies to support weekly business reviews, monthly deep dives, and ad hoc analyses to identify opportunities and support strategic & operational recommendations

  • Analyze marketing performance, supporting development of attribution, cohort, customer segmentation, and LTV models

  • Support deal evaluation, modeling and due diligence, assessing attractiveness of acquisition opportunities, modeling deal structures, vetting key questions in diligence (e.g. revenue sources)

  • Develop pro forma P&L models for acquired portfolio companies 

  • Analyze data, share recommendations, drive process development and continuous improvement

  • Perform financial analysis of portfolio companies in relation to the industry

 

Experience

  • 2-4 years experience in investment or commercial banking, finance, analytics, and/or accounting

  • Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and reporting software (Xero, ERP’s, QB’s…etc)

  • Understanding of ecommerce and marketing analytics, including attribution, CAC:LTV, and cohort modeling desired

  • Ability to understand value drivers across different businesses and develop reporting strategies and KPIs accordingly

  • Deeply curious, thrives solving ambiguous problems  and willingness to roll up your sleeves

  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills

  • High level of integrity and dependability

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Proactive and comfortable working with uncertainty

  • Detail oriented, creative, open-minded

  • Passion for and understanding of healing with natural remedies, conscious living and health is a plus
